Explanation:

Article groups may be merged. However, this is only possible if kind is identical. The articles to be merged have different kinds in the database.

Solution:

Make sure that the article groups to be merged are of the same kind in the database.

Adjust the types of articles to be merged via EZ-catalog or add Kind as a column with one type per group.
