The Publications used to use Flash. This is an outdated technique that will no longer be supported by the main browsers by the end of 2020. In this release this will be fully converted to HTML5 in combination with javascript. Because of this, a number of things will change:
The look and feel of publications will be slightly changed.
The publications are fully suitable for mobile viewing.
From now on, all publications will be fully downloadable.
The interface is multilingual.
The URLs to the publications have also been changed in this release (both in terms of domain and structure). This may have consequences for customers using the webshop.xml version 3.1.
An example of how it is currently in this xml version:
For customers who display our publications on their own website, a number of things are going to change. The necessary changes that you will have to make do not have to be implemented immediately: in the coming period, the publications will run on both the old and the new server. You will receive a mailing about this.
During the rollout of this release, certain publications may temporarily not be visible or links in publications may not work properly.
From this release it is possible to compose your own HTML embed code, which can be used to embed a publication on your own website.
Artlink
If the Artlink import was supplied with its own classification and the same classification name was used in different levels, the levels could be stored in the wrong order. This has been changed in this release.
