Preparations for the switch to a new FTP for file exchange

Scheduled tasks use our FTP server for file exchange of the Artlink imports and Web exports.
The old FTP software and server are due for replacement and will no longer be available to our customers from December 1st 2021.
In this release, preparations have been made for the full transition to our new FTP server.

The new FTP has as address ftp.ez-catalog.nl. For accounts on the new server nothing changes.

Relations who still use the old FTP server with the address must switch to the new FTP server.

In order to bring this switch to the attention of as many relations as possible, general mailings have been sent to all our registered ICT and data contacts.
Via My EZ-base, login details have also been provided to clients who have been using the old FTP in the past year. The ICT and data contact received a notification mail.
Are you still using the old FTP but have not yet received the login details for the new FTP? Request this as soon as possible by means of a notification via My EZ-base.

New export formats

In this release, new export formats have been added to Advanced Export:
1. Webshop.txt and Webshop.xlsx: this format contains article data, classification data, attributes, assets and publication links.
2. Asset.txt en Asset.xlsx: this format contains item data, assets and extended publication links.

Asset.txt and Asset.xlsx are identical in terms of content (they contain the same columns). This also applies to Webshop.txt and Webshop.xlsx. The xlsx formats will only be limited in size, but the .txt formats are not.

There will be differences in columns between 1 and 2, but the number of repetitions can also differ. For example, the Webshop.txt/xlsx will contain brands but the Asset.txt/xlsx will not.
On the other hand, the Asset.txt/xlsx will contain asset descriptors but the Webshop.txt/xlsx will not.

These new formats ensure that the old Webshop.txt (from this release with the addition "(old)") is no longer needed.
This format will therefore be discontinued within a few months.
This also applies to the old formats Webshop.xml 2.0 and Webshop.xml 3.0.1 which were not or barely used.

Clean-up

Codes in text format
Sometimes, strange codes such as _x005F, _x0019 and _x000D are unintentionally read into the article import file in the specification field. Read all details about the rules and cleaning up text formatting here.
Blank spaces after features and brand
Brands and attributes can (unintentionally) begin or end with one or more spaces. This makes it seem as if there are 'double' (feature) brands in EZ-web.

From this release onwards, the above issues will be cleaned up during the daily synchronisation to EZ-web.

Publications

Sometimes the browser still showed an old version from the cache for Publications, while a new version was already available. In this release a setting has been adjusted to prevent this from happening again.

Filtering

It could happen that after filtering article group information was shown without articles being visible. This has been solved in this release.

Advanced export

When using Advanced export in the Data selection screen, only the own main classification could be selected. This has been solved in this release.

Order of classification levels

In Advanced export, in the Data selection screen, the order was not always as determined in EZ-catalog, both with the EZ-base and with the own classification.
Also in the Product tab of the EZ-base classification, the order was not always correct. This has been adjusted in this release.
