Search and filter

This page describes the extended search and filter possibilities in EZ-web.

Search and filter

In the Products tab, you will find extended filter possibilities on the left side. On the right side, you will find the search and filter results.

The filters can be arranged by:
Below, each kind of filter is explained.

The default filters and feature filters will open by clicking them.
In case the filter contains descriptions, one can select a filter using a check box. It is also possible to search by a filter in the top of the page.
If the filter contains numeric values, the minimum values is placed on the left and the maximum value at the right. These values can be overwritten: by doing so, the desired values can be found. You can also use the bar to filter at the desired value.
The black cross can be used to erase a filter.

Behind the filter it is indicated whether this filter is used to generate the current search result:

Search bar

1. Search bar
In this search bar, one or several search terms (separated by a space) can be entered (non case-sensitive). After hitting enter or clicking the 'Search' button, all underlying tabs will be searched for this keyword for all suppliers and articles in the database. You can view the reaults by opening the tab concerned.
In the Products tab the search result can be refined using the filters. The filters always operate within the search results of the general search bar. An exception is the Supplier tab: this filter concerns the search results on all tabs.
The entered keyword can be found in the path.

Searches with few characters yield many results. Therefore, if possible, enter as many characters as possible or filter within the search query.
For example: searching on article number 86 05 180 T results in the article with this article number, but also returns hundreds of other articles containing 86, 05, 180 and T (both in the article number, GTIN, features, values, units, specification field, etc.). Subsequent filtering by, for example, type and supplier refines the search result to a managable number of articles.

Classification filter

Articles are categorized according to the EZ-base classification. This is the default classification. More classifications are possible. For instance, articles can be categorized according to the ETIM classification.
EZ-base supports several ETIM versions but uses the most recent version itself. That is why this filter contains the highest ETIM version supported bij EZ-base.
Besides this, both suppliers and wholesalers can manage own classifications. Here only one classification will be displayed: only the own default classification.
These classifications can be selected using this pull-down menu. At the right side in 'Results' the selected classification is displayed.

In the own classification and ETIM classification: only the articles that are categorized in this classification will be displayed.
In the EZ-base classification: articles that are not categorized will also be displayed.
In case the selection is displayed as buttons, the unclassified articles are collected in this button:

In case the selection is displayed in a list, underneath the article (groep) you will find 'Unclassified'.

The feature filters that are shown depend on the selected classification:
  •  In case of the EZ-base classification you will find the 10 most often used standardized features.
  •  In case of the ETIM classification you will find the 10 most often used ETIM features.
  •  In case of an own classification you will find the 10 most often used own features.

Only the classifications the user has authorization for will be displayed.
